Privacy Policy

This policy describes how BioVantra handles information collected through biovantra.com. It applies to the public website only and does not describe how protected health information (PHI) is handled in our clinical laboratory workflows.

Effective: May 11, 2026 · Last updated: May 11, 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to information that BioVantra collects through the public website at biovantra.com. It does not apply to information you submit through the Lumea BxLink Client Portal, to information BioVantra receives in the course of providing clinical laboratory services, or to information handled by third parties whose services we link to. Patient-identifying information should not be sent to BioVantra through the public website.

2. Information we collect through this website

The public site is designed to minimize collection. We do not currently operate a public contact form, and we do not use advertising pixels or third-party advertising trackers. The site does not currently use analytics cookies or persistent first-party cookies.

We may collect the following limited information:

  • Server access logs. Standard technical logs may record information such as IP address, user-agent string, request path, and timestamp. These logs are used for security and operational purposes and are retained for a limited period consistent with that purpose.
  • Email correspondence. If you contact us at contact@biovantra.com or by phone or fax, we receive the information you provide. Email is not secure and should not be used to transmit PHI; please use the Lumea BxLink Client Portal for any PHI-related communication.
  • Future analytics. If basic, privacy-preserving analytics are added in the future (for example, server-side aggregate page-view counts without persistent identifiers), this policy will be updated to describe that use before such analytics are enabled.

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

The site does not currently set first-party tracking cookies, and it does not embed third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking pixels. Browsers may use session cookies as part of normal page rendering; no persistent identifier is created by BioVantra for the purpose of cross-site tracking. If we introduce basic technical or privacy-preserving analytics in the future, this section will be updated.

4. How we use information

We use the limited information described above to respond to inquiries, to provide and improve the website, to maintain the security and integrity of our systems, and to comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not sell information collected through this website.

5. Sharing

BioVantra does not sell information collected through this website. We may share limited information with vendors who help us operate the site (for example, hosting and email infrastructure providers) under appropriate confidentiality and security commitments, with our professional advisors when necessary, and when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BioVantra, our personnel, our clients, or the public.

6. Links to third-party sites

The website links to the Lumea BxLink Client Portal and may reference other third-party resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and you should review their own privacy notices before using their services.

7. Your choices

You can use the website without providing any personal information. You can configure your browser to block or limit cookies; doing so should not affect basic site functionality. If you have sent us information by email and would like us to delete it, contact us and we will do so to the extent consistent with our legal obligations and operational records.

8. Children

This website is directed to clinicians, healthcare organizations, and other professional audiences. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through the public website.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure; users should not send sensitive information through unencrypted email.

10. Health information and HIPAA

The public website is not a channel for protected health information. BioVantra's handling of PHI in connection with laboratory services is described in our HIPAA Notice / Notice of Privacy Practices. Please do not transmit PHI to BioVantra through the public website or through unencrypted email.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acknowledgement of the revised policy.
